BEWARE NZXT BLD! Massive scam
Edit: For those wondering why its a shopify link NZXT apparently uses it for transactions. Go try it yourself.

And it seems people are missing the point. What I am emphasizing is that you can get a better price/performance computer for the same price elsewhere then touching the BLD crap.

I just discovered NZXT offers a custom PC service from word of mouth and I checked it out and its such as massive scam. I cannot believe people think this is a "good product", it's as bad as alienware.

For their 'cheapest' custom PC it runs around $1823.91 and here are the parts:
https://letsbld-com.myshopify.com/19869305/checkouts/1cb60065ceb338bb3fd411d53a5459d9?locale=en

Now lets look at a much better prebuilt for approximately the same price ($1899.99): https://www.newegg.com/abs-ali463/p/N82E16883360048?Description=ABS&cm_re=ABS-_-83-360-048-_-Product

For anyone who does know a thing or two about tech, it self evident which is better for the money.

LinusTechTips and all the other TechTubers who endorsed this service as "great", "amazing", "Awesome value" have lost my respect.

Don't get me wrong, NZXT makes great products, but this isn't one of them.

NZXT was good value a few years ago with the last mining craze, around 2017~2018. But this craze is a lot worse, so a lot of companies can just milk a lot of money out of people, and NZXT cuts costs for themselves by using their own products in their service, which isn't good for us because you could easily cut a few hundred dollars by getting a cheaper case, a cheaper motherboard, going with a 10400F instead of a garbo 3400G, and using a cheaper cooler. Issue is, NZXT doesn't seem to offer any B/H/A chipset motherboards, only Z and X.

As far as system integration services go, NZXT is still good, it's just that they lost their price/performance value at their own discretion. In terms of quality, they're still miles ahead of anything that Dell can do. Dell pretty much takes a big dump in a box, slaps an alienware logo on it, and sells it off as a computer.

I mean, you're... not comparing the same parts. I'm not saying the service is or isn't bad mind you, but it's nothing new that some offers are better than others. If you wanted to compare them correctly, they'd need to have all of the same exact parts, and that's probably not happening.
Well generally most of us advise not listening to LTT.
Anyway, this is the cost of labor and brand name mostly. As someone else pointed out you're not really comparing the same parts. IF you want the lowest cost, shop smart, and build it yourself.

Builders (build the PC for you sites) are for the not so tech inclined or potentially to damage their systems during a build, or for lazy people. If you want the best cost, shop around, get the best prices, put it together yourself unless someone can build the same for the same or less cost.
Yeah, you not being interested in a service and being able to find something that's a better value is not the same thing as it being a scam.

Not liking the price of something doesn't make it a scam.

Being able to poke holes in the service, dismiss it, or be unable to fathom why it's expensive doesn't make it a scam.

NZXT isn't stopping people from shopping around or making a decision. You not agreeing with the decisions some consumers make isn't NZXT propagating some scam.

You having criticisms or not being able to recommend the service doesn't make it a scam.

Somebody else is buying their PCs and selling them to get some profit!!!
So in a nutshell, second hand...

After adding to cart and hitting "continue to checkout", it does switch to shopify. When starting from their actual website. Tried the process as I did think that was quite odd as well.

Look at the motherboard, look at the ram, look at the psus (what brand even?), look at the cooling.

I'm trying to be fair here. In the scope of pc building services, when I look at them closely one doesn't look like much more of a ripoff than the others based on these two builds. Just focused on different parts.

Sorry, my mistake
Very strange for a such company with 17 years history to have a additional website and pay around 100$ additional for it.
I would stay on my first one

However
You are paying 100$ for building it, which is around 5 times higher than in my country. Windows 10 key adittional 112$. Very strange combination to have an AMD APU with RX 6600XT...
Comparing prebuilts, like asking "which pile of dog **** smells best" lmfao.

Really dude?

Your missing the point. The newegg computer has a better price/performance then the NZXT one for approx the same price.

I got a 3070 from the EVGA queue along with a Gigabyte 3070ti from the Newegg Shuffle, both @MSRP.

Simply informing people isn't a bad thing. And the is just to catch your attention. Remember hook sentences, it catches peoples attention.
