Are be quiet! fans good?

Yes, be quiet! fans are fantastic for what they are. Competitively priced with Corsair and NZXT but offers generally better acoustics. If you're after a quieter system, best bet is their silent wings model.

I have a bunch of their silent wings 3, some came with the case and I've bought many more for extra fans slots and even my radiator. Only downside is their price.

I've got 14 fans spinning in my case not counting the PSU. I run them at high speed playing max settings on very high end system. I LOVE my headphones!

Quite simply, yes. Shadow and Pure wings are good generalist fans for a decent price.
They also do have some decent QA, so at least from my experience you aren't good fans this month, crap fans next month, and then another batch of good fans later (hello NZXT & MSI).

They aren't the best in any field, but nor are they bad at anything either, they are in my opinion the best if you just need some damn generalist case fans.

For what. If you want it to be quiet with moderate airflow, then fine.

I have 2 of them in an old machine, now a NAS. It is always on, so I would like it to be quiet.

My main machine has a mixture of ML120 and ML140 fans. They have great airflow but noisy at higher speeds.

It is about getting the right fans for the job.
