Need advice for a 2.5in SSD
I recently purchased a HP TG01-0023w system.

It comes with a 256 GB NVME 2.0 SSD.

I'm looking to buy a 2.5inch internal SSD that is 1TB or greater.

Can anybody recommend a 1TB 2.5in internal SSD that supports easy cloning in replacing the 256GB NVME as the boot drive?

No because HP use BIOS whitelists you'll have to get "approved" hardware from them.

From research I've done HP ended whitelisting in 2019, correct me if I'm wrong. This is a 2020 manufactured comp.

No they are most definitely still enforced. Only 4 vendors exist that are known to not whitelist.

ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI and Acer.

I am not 100% sure as I would personally myself discuss with HP directly over the phone. If it in fact has a whitelist you are out of luck and I highly advise you talk with them before doing anything.

Sorry, but I don't care about a decrease in drive speed, only compatible increased storage. The NVME is out of the picture at this point. At this point, I'm thinking the Crucial BX500 if anybody has experience with this particular HP model.

Was eyeing this one for my upgrade

Team Group MP33 M.2 2280 2TB PCIe 3.0 x4 with NVMe 1.3 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) TM8FP6002T0C101[www.newegg.com], $183 only a few dollars more than sata and quite faster

I favor Silicon Power's SSDs.

Avoid Samdung's Evo junk. Literally all their products are ♥♥♥♥.
