The integrated graphics in Ryzen APUs easily matches the GT 1030, and the GTX 1050 is just too outdated to be worth anywhere near 270. Intel's Iris Xe integrated graphics also seems to be a strong match against the GT 1030. You could buy a system with either of those and get more of your money's worth back than from just buying a GT 1030.
You're better off waiting until the shortages blow over and the prices return to typical levels. Everything is way overpriced.
1050ti is better, but still very weak for 1080p gaming
save up and wait for a 1660 or better
good mid range gpu xx60 are should be generally around $200usd range
currently prices are wonky due to mining and low supply/high demand
the ryzen apu builds are not horrible, just not very good
if that can get you by til the cpu/gpu prices normalize, and upgrade to a ryzen 5xxx and dedicated gpu, it will save the cost of the other parts
No, the GTX 1050 Ti isn't worth that, but nothing is worth what it's going for anyway, so relative to everything else, that's your call depending on how desperate you are for more than your GT 1030 is giving you, and if if you think a potential GTX 1050 Ti last you before you the two years or more before you can save up to replace it. Unfortunately, this FUBAR situation could last the better part of the year or into (well into?) next, so I get if you don't want to wait another year or more on what you have now, if you have something to spend to get more (even if it's an awful price, because everything is right now).
You're honestly better off forgetting about such games until you can get to them a year or two down the line. It's unfortunate, but it's a global pandemic that is having very far reaching affects, and not being able to play a few games, or having to deal with lower settings/frame rates, is really "first world problems" in a way. I know it's easy for me to say, given I have a GTX 1060 (not strong either, but much better off than a GT 1030) and don't look to play games as demanding as those, but even if my GTX 1060 died, while I'd REALLY be upset and might look to get something almost as good at a marked up price, it wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to use the GT 1030 for a while either.
IMO, save your savings, unless you think that GTX 1050 Ti will leave you happy for the two+ years it will take to save it's cost up again. If you wait, there's a chance this could go into next year (maybe well into it) and you might be waiting too long for your taste on that GT 1030. It's a gamble depending on how the market goes in the next year or two on if waiting or paying up now is the right move for you.
