I've overclocked my graphics card and now I'm getting FPS Drops
Today I entered GTA 5 without overclocking, but I started receiving fps drops, I turned on the overclock from radeon software. I continued to play like this for 3 hours, but I just entered the game with overclocking turned off, I started to get fps drops again, but I did not receive drops even when I had graphics mode installed before, I turned on the overclock from the radeon software again and the game gave a crash when the game was loaded, and the game Although I normally play at 60-70 fps without overclocking, now it drops from 70fps to 60, drops from 60 to 40, glad if you help.

How are the thermals?

Very likely that the OC is creating too much heat so the GPU isn't actually boosting as highly and consistently. Just setting a core clock doesn't mean it'll always run at that clock, you're effectively just raising the clocks it can boost to, but the GPU has to be handle to actually handle that. If it can't, it usually results in more fluctuations in frequency (i.e. if target is 2200 but it drops to 1700 a lot) which can lead to drops.

I know from experience that the AMD drivers are buggy and after some values have been changed you can lose ~40% of performance. A simple reboot always fixes it for me.

may be throttling
or if you oc'd its ram it may be getting ecc errors and having to recover

I think I'll send my graphics card to the service

If you are asking about thermal pastes, yes, but if you are asking about temperatures, they go around 70-80.

Have you reset the card to default settings and rebooted the PC?

With DDU I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled nothing much changed.

No I haven't formatted it yet, but I'll format and try before sending it to the service.

I just tried again in GTA 5 and still keep having fps drops and gpu usage drops from 100% to 0.

You shouldn't have to format, simply resetting the settings to default in Radeon software and rebooting the PC should get it back to its original state.

If your card is having trouble maintaining boost clock, undervolting could help.

Drops like that could be indicative of a cpu bottleneck.

not all gpus like an overclock ..some have cheap ram and yes may slow down as the ram heats up

you never said what GPU you have ?

is this a desktop or laptop ?

amd cards yes many do not like an OC same with cheaper branded nvidia ones

also you always play the silicone lottery with GPU's and CPUs

Any other games behave the same way? Reset gta 5 settings?

Any reduction in gpu clock speeds?
