You can try older games. Half life 2 might run at lower settings, TES 4 will most likely not run playable.

Do a search on Youtube for "n3060 gaming", there are quite a few vids on this chip.

yes, non 3d games
but any dx10 or later game, no
http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Celeron-N3050-vs-AMD-Athlon-II-X2-260u it gets beaten by a 2010 mobile cpu, so try games before that era.

8~ year old laptop

Intel core i7 2670QM 2.20ghz / Integrated family graphics card blah blah
6GB RAM
Windows 7

And it runs probably 70% of my steam library
Your hardest part of making that laptop run anything is gonna be the very low Ram, my system barely breathes with 6GB of Ram

Humble bragging about your system doesn't really answer his question. His celeron is nothing close to an i7.

Your 8 year old laptop has about 3x as much processing power as the netbook OP owns.

wasnt bragging? Was unaware the processor was actually 3x more powerful at my first look it seemed not far behind mine. Was simply giving a honest comparison not bragging didnt know the celeron was sh.it.

That’s well below minimum for Oblivion. HL2 maybe.

Other game recommendations.

Worms: Armageddon

All the Half-Life 1 engine games.

Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition.

Unreal Gold

MDK

Commander Keen

Space Quest

Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 and 2

Possibly the original Call of Duty and it’s expansion pack United Offensive.

and last but not least, the Marathon Trilogy.

I just saw a video on someone running all these games on a intel atom, which i did a comparison to my cpu, and it said that my cpu ran 30fps higher in the benchmarks. This cpu could handle TES IV at 40fps and ran fallout 3 at 30-40, so maybe it'll run idk.

TES IV is capped at 60FPS @ 60Hz. You’ll have to put everything on the lowest setting possible. Believe me, I did it for experimental purposes, the combat system alone is nearly unplayable on those settings.

I can not speak for Oblivion, as that is a graphics intensive game, but vanilla Half Life 2 has no problem running on my three year old lap top that was VERY budget back then. I can not run any of the fancy graphical options on the HL2: Update mod mind you. Try "Can You RUN It" to see if it can or can not. That would probably be your best bet. Good luck!
