Erp in BIOS
Are there any disadvantages to having ERP enabled in the bios apart from USB ports not getting any power?

I did, it didn't even tell me about it cutting power to USBs. A Google search for me that far - I guess my question really was is it dangerous in anyway to my system

Erp is not dangerous in anyway. On/off is upto you. I left mine on so I can leave certain things connected to charge, remain active or on.

I have a 4 port USB hub with each port having it's own switch. In that I have

A DS4 charge dock for 2x DS4 controllers
A lead to charge my headphones
2x small desk fans

I can keep those charging while system is off along with fans I can keep on if I'm at my desk but PC is off. I can also charge my phone while it's off without needing to carry the power adapter with me.

Ah ok, Ive turned it on because of the LEDs on my Strix GPU - the two white LEDs above the power connectors. I don't have an Asus mobo so I can't disable them normally.
