Enable 240hz?

Does HDMI support 240hz? It only shows me 120hz.

rtings are more reliable then so random guy on a forum. if they say it cant get above 60hz with hdmi at native rez and needs DP for 240hz then it needs a dp. simple. also they arnt the only reviewers claiming this. also if i had the guess the OP is either confused or maybe they are running at a lower rez then native and thats why they are able to get 120hz via hdmi.

I’m running native 5120x1440p 120Hz with the GTX 1070 HDMI port.

I can provide screenshots, but it makes sense that you suggested that I would have to upgrade RTX 2000 series or higher to get 240Hz enabled.

I plan on getting the 3080 or 3090, but currently it’s way overpriced for what they are asking for.

Heck, I might not even need 3080 or 3090. I don’t play much AAA titles. I mainly play Esports titles.

Suggestions?

are you from the united kingdom? as 6700xt are restocking regularly here. i cant speak for other regions as im only signed up the stock alerts for the uk. i suggest you sign up for stock alerts through discord for your region and to keep your eyes peeled. it will be very unlikely you bag yourself a card anywhere near msrp atm .

if you happen to be from the US and are within driving distance of a microcenter id say thats youre best bet of getting a gpu. im almost certain theres a discord for microcenter restocks, just an eye on a store near you and when they have stock coming in ,camp outside the day before with rest of the nerds hehe :D

Ok that's alittle bit excessive ! I don't blame you for not wanting to travel that far. I'd say you have more options then someone like me who lives in the UK when it comes to snagging a new gpu . Like I said sign up for stock alerts on discord , join the evga queue, try you're luck at the newegg shuffle, hire a private jet to fly to the nearest microcenter etc . If your that desperate you can easily get one it just depends how much above MSRP you are willing to pay and if your comfortable at the thought of putting money into a scalpers hands ? I know I'm not but thats my own choice and opinion and I won't enforce how I feel on the situation on others.

Wonder where are all these 2nd/3rd gpus go who people orderd. Here in germany we have a 2nd hand market place called "ebay kleinanzeigen". 1000s of people orderd multible cards from different shops and sell cards who arrive later. Often for msrp and some a little above. Most of them are with bill and unopened packages. Alone for 3080 there are ~880 available. In US there are is only normal ebay?
