Sure some would but generally a pre-built is the easiest way to get a GPU right now. Companies will use GPUs in their own systems before selling them separately
Firstly, NVIDIA has reportedly adding hardware limitations to cryptomining in the latest core revisions. this should make the 3000 series much less attractive to miners, as they can't know what revision is in the boxes.
There is also another company releasing a mining card which is said to be massively more powerful at mining then GPU's. that should also alleviate the demand on gaming GPU's.
At the same time, Bram Cohen (the guy who invented bittorrent) is releasing a new storage based cryptocurrency which is already causing shortages in SSD and HDD stocks.
Anyway that site seems to get AMD cards in pretty regular and sometimes nvidia as well. Might be worth a look.
Yes, crypto miners do buy up stock as and when they can but the card has to already be for sale before they can actually buy one. You can still get the cards if you're just as quick
i work for a golf car company .. heck we cant even get hubcaps (yep made in china ) , or electric parts ..batteries are going up in price , and anything that needs an IC chip for the cars went up ..even cables for the GPS systems are impossible to find as well as the GPS devices
heck we used to sell used cars for 2 grand .. we are now getting close to 4 or even 6 if the car is in good shape and runs
car and truck dealers are also not able to get parts for used cars and trucks on time ..so its not just PC's and GPU's
and no one is mining crypto currency on a golf car or an automobile engine
