How much worth is Intel I7 10700 getting over I5-10400

I'm building a new pc and am divided over whether or not should I spend double on an i7 10700 compared to an I5-10400?

I7 10700 has edge over I5-10400 on most of the Gameplay FPS comparison video on youtube, but only by a margin of 10-20% so is really worth paying double for an i7? What would be the benifit if i chose i7 over i5

The whole ranking categories thing and the suite they use is built ENTIRELY around being an SEO optimized website to show up in results more for more clicks. I literally remember when the website was new, it went from no presence to being in every search result trying to look up comparisons. Things like "GPU Boss" or "GPU Compare" and "Bottleneck calculator" are all the same sort of deal, and I'd avoid places like this if you're after proper results. You could do worse if you're merely looking for quick offhand approximations, but always treat them as such (and least none of the others, to my knowledge, has an agenda bias like User Benchmark seems to).

I would assume the i7-10700 would make a noticeable difference on 1080p, but wouldn't warrant the price difference at 4K.

I have bough a 3060 as well and was looking for a cpu to pair with it.
