Gaming Tablet or Wait for Steam Deck? *SOLVED* TY
**UPDATE** Thanks to the help of this community I learned I dont need to use my steam link hardware to remote share my library. Both my old Moto G6(turns out not the plus lol) and mu even older duo core laptop are able to handle me streaming my gaming pc to them flawlessly.

This will be useful during those boring days of house sitting. Thank you all.

=======original post below==========

Family member is going to be going into the hospital for 8 weeks and I am going to be house sitting. Wont have my gaming pc with me. My gaming pc is where I invest most of my fun money on.

My laptop is better described as a craptop used to check emails and watch a youtube video and nothing more. Not looking to upgrade

My phone is old. Like me. But its a Moto G6 Plus. gets the job done and runs clash of clans just fine.

I am looking to spend about $400 give or take on a tablet but 100% not more than $600. Prefer to stay closer to $400. Only will consider $600 if I decide on the Steam deck.

I would be playing clash of clans and maybe gathering on albion online.

Should I be looking for a tablet or a slightly better cellphone? Tablets are bigger screens and I have big hands, so gaming on my phone was never phone.

Bought my mother a Samsung Tab a9 or something like 3 years ago and it was pretty nice at the time, so was thinking something like that for light mobile gaming?

Suggestions WITH links much appreciated. Thanks

Not a fan of Ipads as I like googleplay. That said, Apple does make solid hardware

THANKS EVERYBODY!! I had no idea I could Steamplay to my phone. I have steamlink to play on my 4k tv when not at my desk but I never tried streaming from PC to my phone, so I just tried it and it worked well.

Cellphone is too small screenwise to really use, so a decent tablet or maybe een my craptop might have anew use(by craptop its a duocore with 6gb ram and I replaced the sata with a nvme, but price to upgrade the ram isnt worth it due to the cpu speed. But it checks emails fine But if I can use my gaming pcs power to cast to it, you all saved me money i would much rather save.

Thanks all!

yeah but apple is also known to be non gamer friendly. A friend asked me apple or pc. I told him if your doing work like photo design, music or architect design apple is your guy. If you want multi tasking play and work, pc is the way to go.

I stand by that statement.

That isn't as relevant to the topic regarding using Steam Link to stream games.

Apple isn't really for gaming, but the games that are on the App Store run buttery smooth locked 60 fps no dips with nice graphical details.
