Lenovo t60 - what linux distro and version should I use ?
This Lenovo T60 (with ATI Graphics) is the guts for my arcade machine:

I intend to use it to play 2d games like SuperMeatBoy and ShovelKnight, as well as a plethora of other retro to retro-style games.

Since I don't have any spare windows licenses I decided to give linux gaming a shot (after it failed miserably a few years ago).

I am fluent in Debian and RHEL variants due to my job in terms of running business services, but have no idea where to start looking for gaming stuff on linux.
What Should I install and which version ?

I have Elementary OS on my old Lenovo ThinkPad T60. It works really fast and doesn't have any problems with a drivers etc. (T7200, 4gb ram, 1gb hdd, ATI X1400)

and I am assuming Steam runs on this ? with games ?
