Curved monitor
Is it convenient to play CS:GO on a curved monitor?
I found a good option with 165 Hz, but with a curved matrix. I take only for CS:GO, but I have not enough money for 240 hz.

If it's a VA panel, forget it. There'll be too much ghosting and it'll ruin fast paced competitive gameplay. Make sure that it's IPS.

thx bro, I changed the choice to a flat IPS matrix, but now I have a question: There are 2 options with IPS of 144hz and 1ms and 165hz but 2ms. What should I choose?

Doesn't really matter because either way you're not going to be sticking to that refresh rate for games like CS:GO. It's always beneficial to run as many frames as your system can consistently handle.

By running as many frames as possible will give the screen a lot of tearing. My advice is to cap it at the maximum frames your monitor can run by turning on vsync if your monitor does not support gsync or freesync. Running more frames than what your monitor can output is mostly wasteful and just tears the screen because it cannot keep up with the fps.

If your budget is limited stick with TN, the ASUS VG248QG[www.newegg.com] gives you 165hz for $200 and the Acer XF250Q [www.bhphotovideo.com] gets you 240hz for $260

Just go with TN monitor. It's more suitable for fps

always 1ms lower if possible, although 2ms you wont really notice it. maybe thats worth the higher color rating of IPS over TN at the expense of losing 1ms if they do that.

compare to tvs have 10ms at 60hz. lower ms is better. saw a instant bump up in fluid motion. tf2 deploying a sentry on a 4k 27inch 1ms 60hz monitor compare that to my 1080p 30inch 5ms 60hz (its likely higher) deploying a sentry in tf2 my eyes dont much fluid motion

as for 4k its good, but only as a 2nd monitor. worth looking into. it makes old game look new like tf2 but csgo this is not needed, that game has everything it could want

go for 144hz 1ms.... cuz upcoming days mfs making games heavy so u wont able to get high fps but 144hz with 1ms is good choice

Advertised response times only count when the display goes from grey to grey aka GtG

Actual response times are 6ms on average for TN, 7 for IPS, and 10 for VA
