Why is my boot time so slow using a NVMe pcie 4.0 m.2.
I don't have much running in the background just razer software. There is nothing in my startup folder i ran virus scans and it found nothing. I even checked in bios and fast boot is enabled. What else can i do to get faster startup times. Right now my boot time is 26.3. And i heard alot of people have 5 seconds or less.

Specs:

Have you checked what speeds your drive is running at?
Could also be BIOS related
Is that the "last BIOS boot time" or a rough approximation of the the Windows loading screen to desktop time? If it's the former, that doesn't seem too bad to me, but I've only used Windows 10 on one PC so I don't have much to go off of.

No it's what it tells when i open task manager and then click startup it tells you in the upper right hand corner of task manager below the tabs.

Right, and that would be the "last BIOS time" I was mentioning. Your drive itself probably won't impact that any really, since that is time spend BEFORE the system is handed of to load whatever is on the SSD. I've seen times between 20 and 30 commonly on my system too (but it says 13.6 currently) so no clue, but all my systems have booted roughly similarly since I got an SSD (I'm counting time from cold boot power on to desktop) so I never really fussed with the details. Interestingly, my laptop boots the fastest, and it has the slowest stuff in it. I guess that Dell board/BIOS is faster than my other two custom build boards (both Asus) are.

But your situation is entirely going to revolve around potentially changing BIOS settings, or dealing with the fastest the board will get through the BIOS process to handing it off to the SSD to start loading the OS. Is it fast (around sub 5 seconds) from when it goes to show the Windows loading splash to getting to desktop at least? And, keep in mind that many boards (like our Asus) have options by default to replace the Windows logo with a Republic of Gamers one.

I would check if you have the latest firmware via Samsung Magician. I don't have the 1TB, but there was a firmware update for the 500 GB model recently that fixed a severe write issue.

It's quite normal, especially on high end board, there are more things to check and test when booting up. And in my experience, SATA SSD usually boot up faster.

Then is a BIOS problem, nothing to do with the speed of the SSD. 20 ish seconds is on the slower side, but not out of ordinary. Updating the BIOS may help. Also disable somthing like the starup logo can improve.

Cant agree. I have a "very high end" board and it takes 5 sec from power on button till i can see my windows screen.

3 seconds for boot screen (you can cange this in bios from 1 second to any number) and 2 seconds for loading windows.

Zen2 had longer boot times right out of the gate and it took BIOS updates to improve it. Make sure your BIOS is up to date.

Also, having more RAM slots populated will increase the amount of time it takes to POST. Same with having more drives and USB devices plugged in. It's an unintended cost of having a system with a lot of frills.

You also have hdd spin up time to consider. so i think your boot up time is fine.

make sure fast boot in bios is enabled, and fast boot for windows is disabled

From cold boot i see the rog bios screen then the rog windows loading screen. From the windows splash screen to my logon screen is around 25.47 seconds.

There was a update for it but it only shaved it down to 25.15 seconds from the windows splash screen.

Can try deleting temp files. press windows key and type in temp and click on delete temporary files. Might delete all passwords etc... Occasionally causes problems.

Long boot time is probably due to the number of hard drives.

I changed it to 0 seconds and got it down to 23.15 seconds. Turned off windows splash screen also.
