VR Camera Pass-through via Steam Settings and the differences.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzaVY8esYKg
On the Vive headset itself?
No the speakers in my car. Yes from the headset lol that's what this thread is regarding.
Any time evices have an audible hum when connected to something like the GPU or Motherboard Audio, it could be a grounding related issue.
Multiple hardware variations. Reddit posts state all different motherboards and cards. It's the Vive Pro 2 itself.
Sorry, I was posting to make people aware, I wasn't actually asking for help. Sharing the knowledge so people know what to expect. I know all about VR alternatives and my options.
- Low humming sound from the built-in headphones (multiple people reporting the same)
- Screen gets quite warm
- Passthrough cameras not working "camera communication error"
- Some games not loading...
Vivecraft opens, textures look rubbish/horses bodies not loaded and then crashes after 2 minutes
War Thunder just does not want to open up in the HMD even with VR mode turned on
* Using GTX 1080Ti which limits the headset to High setting
All of the above isn't an issue when I used the OG Vive with wireless adaptor.
- Clarity - the blur is just too much. I really did look a few times just to see if there was actually plastic film on the lenses because that's what it looks like.
Note:- I am using a GTX 1080 Ti so I am limited to the High setting. Obviously it's impossible to get graphics cards lately, but would that actually improve the clarity? Bump it up to Ultra or Extreme will clear the text? I don't think I have an issue with the resolution, there isn't any anti-aliasing around text, it's just like someone has smeared vaseline all over the lenses or have I already gone blind?
Anyone tried it with the RTX 3080 or better? Unlocked Ultra or Extreme, how is your text?
I get less headaches compared to the OG Vive as that resolution was too low. This is brilliant for the resolution, it's just the smear view I'm looking through now.
I have to return the Vive Pro 2 still...
There are some people posting on YouTube, just after a few hours or a few days and their HTC Vive Pro 2 displays are breaking. It produces vertical lines, in the lower half and on both screens. I had my VP2 and it has just done the exact same thing! I used it earlier today, but I couldn't stay in it because the displays look like the lenses are just too blurred. Then this happened...
