How come MSI dragon center tanks some people's performance
When I enabled extreme performance I noticed a 15% increase in fps with quieter fan speeds and normal thermals yet i've seen others say it is a terrible software. I did run into some features just not showing up like the RGB one but from what I can tell the performance gains are really nice

my specs
rtx 3070
ryzen 7 2700x
16gb ram

As someone who uses it, I can say it is more buggy and slow than I would like. That said I have yet to see a single motherboard app that actually impresses me or doesnt have quirks, issues, lag, or stutter, and I have been trying (and often uninstalling) them now since the Socket 478 days and even a bit ealier...

Realistically, you should use it at most for lighting and perhaps if you have NIC features you want to use like prioritization or the likes.

Any of the boosting you are getting, as well as likely the fans, you can probably change and modify in BIOS/UEFI. Doing it there is just better, for many reasons. And likely there is an auto option there too. Ryzen isnt much for OCing, though you can try for it, realistically though you will probably trade single thread for multi thread in a high end OC due to losing boost. So just play around with the boosting and power profiles till you find the best on your board then use it and then tune the fans!

As for dragon center, as said, its OK, and about comparable to most other makers such software. Few like that stuff due to such apps common nature to be buggy messes.
