Your PSU should have enough connectors for 8+4. I would plug it in even though you don't need it, just in case you might.
Sure that PSU had a newer version with slightly different leads. If that's the case and you lack the exact cables you'd need you should be able to get them directly from Corsair.......for a small fee.
Entirely likely yeah. I'd just contact Corsair and see if they can supply the extra cable. The PSU is modular after all then proceed without it while waiting for the cable.
Pin layouts only fit in one place, so if it fits, it's the right cable.
Yeah you need a 8+4 DO IT
REALLY
If you plug only 8 pin
You PC wouldn't turn on
I knew it because first I do this
Plug 8+4
I have only a I7 10700k and I dont do overclocking
Works just fine using only the 8 pin connector.
iirc, PSUs at 750w or more typically have the 4-pin connector but I wouldn't take that as gospel.
^^
You can try with only 8pin
The technical center I call , clearly say me I need this 8+4pin
I don't say my CPU, He have no idea
He say me,
Sometimes you PC won't turn on
Sometimes Yes but maybe you can have some problems later
It is weird
But in my case my PC won't turn on and I need to plug 8+4pin
Elk cloner It work with only 8
I don't know why
