Getting ready to buy a Gaming PC, could use serious suggestions.
I'm going to buy a gaming PC. I have a $2000 budget, and I'm looking at this model [www.dell.com] from Dell.
Is this a good place to start?
If not, where would you go?
If so, what options would you suggest with my budget to make a balanced system?
Thank you,
J

If you have no idea about components, get a prebuilt by any means but avoid dell. They horrible and make upgrading a pain if not possible at all with some of their custom motherboards/PSUs.
Ok, does look reasonable [www.newegg.com]?
I really am clueless, and I don't have the time to learn and build, as per the other response. The reason I have the money in the first place is my job, which takes up a lot of my time.

That pc is spot on. Enough for modern games and lives upgrade room. I would honestly get that.

Not right now considering the state of the GPU market.

Build services like NZXT BLD are going to be ultimately better because the total price is going to be lower; OEMs and system integrators don't have the same problem accessing GPUs like we do. They can afford to sell systems at MSRP.

If you have the time to game, pretty sure you have the time to learn to build a pc. If you just don't want to say you don't want to and don't need a lecture about building one because that is what you're going to get here.

I am deeply grateful for your assistance.

Not really, not everyone have to know it all. Let the man buy his hard earned pc, there are more important things in life.

I just built my PC last week. I had every parts ready for a month but the GPU was out of stuck. I ended up winning Newegg shuffle and was able to purchase a GPU that was waaaaay out of my budget. No choice, I already waited 2 months.

Like other mentioned, if you can, just buy a prebuild. Unless you can solve the GPU stocking issue somehow. The GPU market is f'd ATM and I predict it will be months before it recover. There's plenty of discussion/topic on internet go check it out.

There's no shame in buying prebuilt, but you'll have to learn how to take it apart and put it together sooner or later.
