I need your help choosing a monitor!
I have basic knowledge in computers, so I need help between picking the right monitor choice.

After some research I have come down to the fact that I am looking for 144hz 1080p IPS monitor.

I love vibrant colors and a visible contrast between the dark and light places, for example, when you go into a dark cave in skyrim and the fire creates this light and warm feeling while everything else is dark, blue and cold around, opposed to everything being kinda washed out and bleak. I also play csgo, so 144hz seems like the right choice.

The store in my country offers the following monitors, which seem like a good fit for me.

MSI Optix G241 (235 EUR)

Asus VP249QGR (210 EUR)

Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q1R (225 EUR)

Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q (240 EUR)

Which one would you choose?

Thanks in advance!

I got the MSI Optic G271 not long ago. The 144hz and freesync is amazing and the colours and great. But I do have one problem. There is some pretty noticeable IPS Glow/Backlight Bleed on my monitor, in the top left corner. But this can happen with every IPS monitor.

There is always some sort of IPS Glow in every IPS monitor. It can be a gamble how much you actually get.

In general, would you say that IPS is the optimal gaming way to go?

IPS monitors are probably what you should get if you want good colour accuracy and viewing angles. And this will make your gaming experience better.

It used to be that you would get something like a VA panel for better response times but IPS monitors are getting so good now that it really does not matter.

If you only gamed in the dark I might consider a different panel but IPS is still brilliant either way.

To be honest, I was kind of leaning towards the Asus TUF monitors. I am not sure if I am dumb or what, but I can't seem to see any technical difference between VG249Q1R and VG249Q. Care to elaborate?

Same here. The only difference i can see just by looking at the asus website is that the VG249Q1R has a 165hz refresh rate but the VG249Q has a 144hz refresh rate.

The VG249Q also has a better stand that can swivel and pivot rather than only tilting.

The only other difference is looks. The VG249Q1R has a more "gamer" look, but the VG249Q has a much more normal look.

Just get the cheaper one, or the one that looks more appealing to you.

tuf line of monitors are very good monitors both of mine have no BLB which plague ips
monitors, run very smooth, great color and clarity.even at lower fps they dont blur out
or stutter.im very impressed with tuf products theyre doing it right.rivaling LG and
Asus line that has been pushing there poor quality controlled monitors (BLB nightmare)
for years,
