(Solved) No Audio from rear jack on motherboard
Basically with a few games (specifically Unity) when I have my headset plugged into the rear audio port on my motherboard, I get no sound. Sound is normal on most other games (Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry etc.), as well as audio from browsers. Switching audio sources to my monitor has all audio come through, so it's not a huge issue, but a convenience issue.

Anyone know of any fixes that might help?

get the mobo audio drivers

check windows sound control panel
select realtek as default audio
might have something to do with the privacy settings. Maybe those games try to do something with the microphone. Maybe, maybe not but might be worth looking into. I know it wouldn't make sense though since that would be a microphone/input issue though and you're having playback issues.

Had that done already. I ran a clean install and still nothing. I'm convinced Unity games are just awful for audio LOL

It was worth a shot. I tried looking at the privacy setting (windows and virus protection) sadly nothing.

Have you checked all audio settings in unity? theres a couple that will mute/disable sound.
some programs can also pick the card they use, check its sound setting and make sure is set to windows default or the correct card
PROBLEM SOLVED:

So I did some digging and managed to track down the problem to the Nahimic Audio Drivers. I just tried disabling everything and seeing if anything changed. Turns out the Nahimic was the problem child here. I went ahead and disabled those and voila, all audio is working. Thanks for the help guys!
