The issue was actually a complete other one: I was connected via WiFi which had major issues and thats why the games didnt work. Now its all good via LAN! :)
Cheers,
Chris
I dont know where you get your information but Every tech website and streamer must also be magically wrong because they dont agree with you either. And dont try to use the bs excuse that Streamers and (certain) tech sites dont know anything because they sure as hell have more experience with hardware than you do.
99/100% usage is DESIRED as long as temps are under control and always has been, even with Vsync enabled Max usage is possible though, it doesnt always have to be off for max usage to happen.
Before you start telling people that Max GPU usage being good is WRONG, actually do some research first.
Enjoy https://www.google.com/search?q=is+max+GPU+usage+bad&oq=is+max+GPU+usage+bad&aqs=chrome..69i57.3786j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

OP, glad you fixed your problem.
To be clear, RUST used to be pretty bleh when it came to optimization so i assumed it still was.
Simple awnser is "YES" its good because it means your gpu is your bottleneck and most people want a gpu bottleneck over any other bottleneck.
We've done cease & desist and sued some content creators before, so yes, they have a habit of giving bad information or making statements on behalf of manufacturers with blatant inaccuracy. Toms hardware is a great example of "foot in mouth".
Again, this is about a 3080 and RUST, something you're clearly unfamiliar with, and making generalized inaccurate statements is not doing you any favors. I worked for one of these companies, if we're so inclined to speak of places of information and hands-on experience trumping other sources. Or do you like to follow The Verge pc builds?
No, it really isn't unless your task or software is designed to do so. Desire, is per person, but it is not the overall thing you should seek out of games
You can find anything on google to agree with your world view. It's generally better to have remaining overhead unless the task at hand, such as rendering, needs to truly use 100% and can/will by default for maximum rendering time. In this case, again, this is about a 3080 and RUST - I've left notations on when it should only hit/stay near 100%, but RUST is not demanding enough to generally want 100% of a high-end GPU.
Foot, mouth.
It's massively different from how it used to be. Next time don't guess.
Hi , i've just bought this same laptop ,i see you found your problem being the wifi connection ,how does it perform for rust does it give good frames and high settings ?
