Any monitor can show more than 1 refresh rate as they support more than 1 refresh rate. My 144hz monitors show 144hz,120hz and 60hz. Depending on the resolution I'm using they can show others. 80hz, 59hz and even 30hz.
Overclocking hz on a monitor would not be as simple as selecting the predefined refresh rate.
100% guaranteed
adaptive sync toggles vsync on/off, on when at or above refresh rate, off when below
Go look at something like Acer Predator, ASUS ROG Swift or others that actually have either GSync or FreeSync.
VESA Adaptive Sync is Freesync - Freesync is it's marketing name.
There are only 2 kinds of Sync like this, G-sync, and Freesync. One is hardware based (G-sync), and one is software based (Freesync.)
No, it doesn't.
Adaptive VSYNC does.
Adaptive sync is Freesync.
If the monitor is marketed as 165hz (even with 'overclock') then it can do 165hz.
why can you force enable adaptive sync on displays that do not support freesync/gsync
If i wanna catch screen its not visible on screen. Just very small flickering black dots on vertical position. Screens not working. Happens only in 1080P with 165HZ.
Visible on desktop too when i am very close.
Just found on reddit somebody had the same issue with monitor:
www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/hib8h7/please_help_i_have_an_issue_with_new_monitor/
So 165hz on 1080P is not stable?
