Any of the not lower end B550 boards (in regards to power delivery capability to the CPU) or better with the features/criteria you prefer is fine. There's things like which brand has which quirks or what BIOS/such you prefer, but that's usually subjective and smaller stuff.

A520 is utter garbage, B550 doesn't cost much more buy is far superior in VRM and features.

I'd say a B550M-DS3H is the best budget board. Or get a used B450 board with an updated BIOS if PCI-E 4.0 doesn't matter to you

That's my plan when these Ryzen 5xxx cpus wull, hopefully, be on sale during black friday or Christmas sales.

Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite was highly valued as decently priced x570 board with good power delivery. I'd imagine it still is.

I just built a PC with the x570 Aorus Elite and AMD 5600x over the weekend. So far it’s great!

the a boards can work, but you will never get anywhere near the cpus full performance out of them

get a board with 4 dimm slots, and 5+ sata ports to filter out most junk
for a higher tdp cpu, get one with a vrm config strong enough to handle it

The "A" boards are all junk. They were meant for the Athlon and Ryzen 3 series of CPUs, nothing higher.
