Is the machine overclocked? it may be helpful if you post the whole error from event viewer, after viewing it you may get more info/help.

If it just happened the once it may just be an oddity.

Check for a bios update/reset to defaults, update chipset drivers and Gpu if not already done.

If the issue still persists then stress test Ram, Cpu and Gpu as the issue is likely one of the three. It may just be that something in bios is not set correctly, referring to motherboard manual for bios setup may help.

if its an error with the game, ask in the games forum
SeriousCCIE Mar 31, 2021 @ 5:48pm
Someone asked already but I'll ask again since I can't seem to find the answer. Are you overclocking the processor?

It looks like you have come across a game that stresses your CPU harder than our overclock otherwise allows. Probably everything else is fine and that you don't want to change your settings because of it.

If that is true--I am here to tell you that you need to increase the voltage or lower the mhz.

Cache hierarchy error sounds like it sounds there was a problem with communication or function of either the the L1,L2 or L3 cache.
Does your motherboard support an auto overclock feature and is it enabled by default?

What have you changed in the bios did you change anything?

This seems to be a known problem with AMD CPUs 5xxx series specifically.

GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5700 XT GAMING OC - 8

Only thing i changed was to use the XMP or w/e its called so my ram was running at 3200mhz i think. i do have 3200mhz ram but did not run at that speed unless i had that one enabled if im correct.

It appears to be most likely a hardware fault. Check all components for problems with cooling, connections, clock speeds, etc. and check for driver updates.

A machine check exception is an error generated by hardware not software. Still, driver updates sometimes help because a bug in a driver could cause a device to end up in a fault condition, triggering the exception.

When you say green screen do you mean BSOD but with a green background? If so that would mean you are running a preview version of Windows. In that case if the fault does not occur on a retail build then make sure to file a report on the Feedback Hub app.

Well i have not done anything, the drivers are up to date. What i can see and feel everything is connected. I can play for days without anything and then suddenly and error occurs out of nowhere and sometimes i can be error after error wich happen when i had it in the beginning but its not so much nowdays. its just random, no pattern what i can notice or see. Theres a bunch of error messages in the even viewer but what i have red its common. Only thing i have not updated is the BIOS but some say you dont need to and some say you can if you want to or that you should do that.

Bright green background without any text and that was in the beginning when i started using this computer and what i red back then it was a common error with the 5700 graphics cards.
