How should I upgrade my PC?

I know I don't need to upgrade anything but if I wanted to what should I be upgrading.
Will getting an extra 16GB of ram make a decent difference?

Perhaps tell us if you're having a problem and what the problem is so we know what to respond with. Difference in what, exactly?

Everything looks fine as-is, I wouldn't suggest getting more RAM unless you actually need it.

only "problem" I have is having to run cold war in 1080p to get high fps, but this really isn't an issue

Cpu and faster ram, beyond that a gpu upgrade.

Mind you, your specs are fine and don't need to be upgraded unless you are after very high fps, max out high res or both.

A SATA SSD. NVMe SSD's are becoming quite popular as primary operating system drives, due to their much faster read and write speeds. It might be worth considering as an upgrade.

That's only in sequential speeds, which aren't really used for OS or gaming etc, it's more gir moving giant files about such as in video editing.

yeah seems a bit pointless to replace an ssd when everything already loads really quick

#2 is the ssd
as long as the os is installed on it, its good to go as is
its not nvme, but the difference for the average useer is not noticalbe

For games like cold war 1440p you need a better gpu. You cpu is more then enough for 1440p high settings 144fps/hz. Only your gpu is huge bottleneck for res/settings like this. 16gb system ram is fine. 32gb will make no difference.

There are many yt videos about r5 3600 + 3080 1440p ultra. r5 3600 is more then enough for 99% gpu usage which means no cpu bottleneck at all. All you need is a stronger gpu like 3080/6800xt.

It's pretty decent overall, but there's (somewhat minimal, depending on game and your goals) gains to be made all around. Probably not worth it unless you want to spend large money on such gains. Normally a GPU upgrade would be considerable, but not at these prices IMO.

However, your HDD seems to be your primary drive your OS is installed on? If so, I'd clone it to the SSD (unless you have an amount of data large enough to prevent this that you can't afford to lose that also isn't backed up or something, in which case buying another drive is my recommendation). There's no point to having an SSD and not having it be your primary drive.
