Logitech G502 Lightspeed Periodic Freezing Fix
I have recently bought a G502 Lightspeed mouse and after about 2 days of use it started freezing every few seconds for about a second. I have figured out the fix and thought I would share as it was surprisingly hard to find any useful information.

Essentially it's the report rate that was the problem. You'll need to open Logitech G Hub and click on the mouse. Once you're in there go to the Sensitivity (DPI) Tab, then go to the REPORT RATE (PER SECOND) section and set it to 500. By default, it is set to 1000. I believe the issue is to do with G HUB or the Mouse not actually being able to handle the report rate.

Hope this helps! Especially for the FPS fam out there dealing with this. Hopefully, Logitech releases updates to address the issue.

still doesnt work for me
did you grab logi ghub to configure the mouse

nevermind, missed that line

its most likely usb drivers
grab the correct ones from the mobo site
along with chipset, audio, lan drivers
then reboot

im confused my mouse works on higher sensitivity but when im on lower like 250 it does that
grab the correct chipset and mobo drivers from the mobo site

if you need help finding them
post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here

making your own thread would have been a better idea so helpers do not get confused on exactly what problem you are having when looking at the op

LGS should work on all wired G502 but the G502 Lightspeed.

Like my G915 TKL too much to switch keyboard so LGS wasn't an option anymore. As GHUB was the only way to configure the Keyboard I upgraded to a G502 Lightspeed. Set onboard profiles and uninstalled S***HUB.

How many buttons on the mouse an Logitech still haven't implemented a basic Right click context menu :steamfacepalm:

lgs does not work on my g305

you can have lgs and ghub running at the same time

the trick is to backup your copy of lgs
then uninstall it, so you can install ghub (will not let you install ghub while lgs is installed)
then reinstall lgs and restore your backup settings

if ghub can configure the mouse/keyboard and save settings in the keyboard/mouse, then you do not need to have ghub run on startup
my 305 can have profile saved to it setting its polling and button assignments
so i saved it in the mouse, and only run lgs for my g110 keyboard colors/macros

Had the G502 Spectrum originally till I split a coffee over it and screwed it. Then hadt the refresh which was the Hero version If I remember right. Was a little if with GHUB being pushed but finding the latest LGS version meant I could use LGS. The only G502 that does not work with LGS is the Lightspeed version.

I'd have kept the hero IF LGS wasn't preventeed from working for the mouse because I needed GHUB for the keyboard so I got the G502 lightspeed. Configured them both and uninstalled it.

Can't comment of LGS/GHUB and your G305 only the G502 as that's what I've owned.

Actually it does let you it just stops LGS from working.

GHUB is not even installed now. I saved 3 profiles to both Keyboard and mouse and uninstalled the ****

i have ghub installed, lgs still works fine
i can run ghub, but its not set to autorun on boot
I run G Hub on boot with my lightspeed and 0 issues. I'll check my settings next time I'm on and see if I can get it to mess up using a lower DPI. Pretty sure I keep it around 800 and use a higher in game sensitivity instead of higher DPI and lower in game like most.
in ghub be sure to save the profile setting to the mouse itself, so it will have that dpi on all devices you connect it to
Had the same issue, uninstalling the driver through Device Manager > HID-compliant mouse and replugging the usb after solved the issue
I have a 502 and have never had this problem. My mouse runs at 1000 reports per second.
Probably the difference here, though, is I don't use G Hub. I use the older Logitech Gaming Software. Also, you don't need to run the Logitech software all the time. Once the mouse is set up it remembers all the settings so you can disable the Logitech software. I do not normally run any software at all, only when I want to change settings.
