AIO pump header or SATA Cable

Good Day

I've just got my new AIO cooler. But the connectors have a 3pin for the AIO_pump header and a sata connector. I just want to ask if I have to plug the sata connector If I already plug the 3 pin on the motherboard header?.

The manual contains pictures. and in the connector they just put the word SATA. but no quotation like. "If you plug the 3pin to AIO_header disregard the SATA connector". I am confused If I have to connect it both. just like the fans. if your fan have a Molex and a Pin connector. you don't need to plug the molex if you plug it in a Fan header.

I've never heard of a SATA data or power cable being used for fans or a cooling pump, but a 3-pin header wouldn't make much sense if you were going to plug in an extra power cable anyway.

You could experiment and try it with just the regular mobo header and see if the pump gets enough power.

if the board has a pump header its safe to use, else sata can deliver more power than fan headers

pump should be at 100% all of the time
