Some AMD X570 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.
I am putting together a pc on pcpartspicker.com. My Cpu is a AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-core and my motherboard is a MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI Motherboard (AMD AM4, DDR4, PCIe 4.0, SATA 6Gb/s, M.2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, AC Wi-Fi 5, HDMI, ATX). Can you help me?

Check before buying . it may have the latest BIOS but also may not . Just ask them about this - by email or chat
It might require a BIOS update.

Also avoid that motherboard, it's pretty much garbage because of the bad VRM. Get a TUF GAMING X570-PLUS, it's a lot better and can actually handle an upgrade to a 5950X. The X570 GAMING EDGE is only good enough for a 5800X.

7C37v1C is the name of the bios, that supports your 5600x . it seems like it is the first bios for your mobo. i would say: it works. there was also a thing, that AMD gave people an older cpu for updating the bios for the newer ryzen processors. tip: search the msi website for your motherboard and ask msi, what you need to know (if the mainboard natively supports the 5600x, what i believe.)

Can be flashed with a new BIOS without a CPU, just needs a USB drive and a second PC to prepare it.
