Can you turn on XMP with game boost off?
Yes I tried multiple times, as I said it will likely crash my entire PC with a Blue Screen of Death.
I also tried using only Game Boost
Game boost + XMP
All end up with my PC either freezing or directly crashing after some use, it may be after a couple of minutes or after hours...
Once you find the stable RAM setting, incrementally increase CPU clock speed.

As for performance, I'm going to presume you're referring by 1440p by "2K" but 2K would be 1080p if anything. It's normal to see reduced performance with a higher resolution unless you're CPU limited.
Not all games will give 144 FPS+ all the time. Some may even see drops below 60 FPS on powerful hardware. Tune the settings. The modern habit of just setting everything to ultra isn't something I'd advise. Settings are made to be tuned, and often the highest settings incur drastic performance penalties for very small (usually unnoticeable) image quality gains. I'm not telling you that you should only expect medium settings here, but turning everything to Ultra in some games can result in a specific setting or two that really drags performance down for little quality reason.
