I loved the old sidewinder but had 3 wear out on me and they were no longer made and would if cost wayyy too much to get another, but, it's the mouse that started my obsession with needing vertical stacked thumb buttons.
And the lack of buttons and RGB are a plus for me, personally (but I'd not want to be without forward/back side buttons).
I had the original G502 Spectrum for years and then the G502 Hero then sold it once I used the Pro X Superlight. The G502 is a very heavy mouse and not the most comfortable mouse in general… I find gaming so much better with a light mouse and general PC usage, no wrist ache battling with a brick!
I'm just not a fan of having the mouse/keyboard RBG button change the profiles of both devices - which it does.
Was curious about their optical switches, and glad they got over the cheap switch probs from a few years ago that still plagues a lot of mice these days (like my G-Pro, started the double-click after a year and a half, very disappointed)
The software you download has settings for sleep, performance, RGB, and can also update the firmware.
