Has anyone been able to have their G-Sync monitor play nice with Shadowplay?

My 4K AMD FreeSync monitor (60Hz) works fine with Shadowplay. 4K, 60 fps recordings with no problems. I replaced that monitor with the Odyssey G7 which is 1440p at 240Hz and the video quality from Shadowplay is simply atrocious. Right clicking and going into properties shows the videos' frame rates as varying between 30 and max which I have seen as 46, but the actual video appears to be of far worse quality, so bad it is unacceptable. The G7 isn't a G-Sync certified monitor, just "compatible", but so was the 4K one which worked perfectly. It's really disappointing to spend this much on a monitor with G-Sync as one of the selling points (it literally has a G-Sync sticker emblazoned proudly on the front bezel) and just have it completely break something basic like Shadowplay.

Yes, both my brothers and mine perform perfectly fine with G-sync. Mind you, this is real G-sync, with the module, before the Freesync 'G-sync compatible' stuff came out.

I haven't had hands on with any Freesync displays, but ones that are compatible shouldn't cause any issues, the model does have to pass all of Nvidia's tests to becomes compatible.

Have you tried reinstalling drivers and/or shadowplay?

I have. I'm thinking it could be the higher refresh rate but idk. Other monitor was only 60Hz and that was fine.

Refresh rate should have no impact on it. Framerate of the game would effect framerate of the video.

I don't have any ideas of what could cause it then, sorry.

I think it's time you do a fresh install of Windows tbh, you are having alot of really weird issues on your build and starting from a clean slate seems the sensible thing to do.

Clean install of Win10 64bit 21H1 sounds like your best bet.

I got the exact same issue with G-SYNC.
For me the framerate of ShadowPlay videos strictly refer to the IG framerate ratio
So with my 360Hz Monitor, for a game running at 240Hz it will provide a 40fps record, for 120Hz 20fps, and so on...
I've tested all possibilities and uncluding fresh reinstalling NVIDIA Drivers and fresh reinstalling Windows.

A little late to the topic but having just picked up a 240hz I ran into frame rate issues recording. It does have to do with G-Sync and higher refresh rates. You will likely have to wait for them to release a fix in the drivers. You can confirm this by setting your refresh to 120 or even try 144. It should record fine. I also read this issue existed with 144 displays a while back but it has been fixed since then.

Just disable GSync and lock the FPS and as long as you get in-game fps above 90, set to record at 60.

If you only get around 60-85 or so fps, set recording to 30. But set video quality to High to the image isn't reduced to mud
