My games on steam crasches.
Have done all i can to find out what the problem to this issue is, but iv´e failed.
I usually play two games on Steam for the moment.
Pubg and Mount & Blade: Banner Lords. Both games crasches after a min or two.
Bannerlords gives the following error message:
"d3d_device_context_->Map at rglGPU_device::lock_texture Failed! "
Pubg crasches to desktop.

So far i have done the following thing:

Sent my computer back for service since i stil have garantuee and i was sure it was a
hardware problem.
And they did the following things:

- Run tests to see if my hardware is default. ( Memtest, BurnInTest, Hd Tune )
- Changed a bad M.2 SSD
- Re-installed windows,
- Formatted my partitions,
When i got my Pc back i thought it was fixed. But no, still the same.

What i have tried:

- Tried different drivers for my graphic card.
- Checked Temperature on gpu and gfx.
- Started windows in safe mode with network access.
- Safemod on steam games.

BUT!!

I did install Origin and Battlefield 1 just do see if it's a steam related issue or a more general one.
Played Battlefield 1 for over 30 min without problem. .

What can be my problem?

System specs help and is your GPU overclocked in any way including factory overclocks?

post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here

and psu brand/model/age

may be unstable oc, ram config, temps, drivers, psu

If a program like Burnintest that stress test all the major sub-systems of a computer for Endurance, Reliability and Stability doesn't get my PC to crasch, niether Battlefield 1 on Origin, is it really a hardware issue then?

But i do wanna solve this issiue.

Lets see if i got this right then.

My psu is a:

Corsair TX550M, 550W PSU

ATX 12V v2-4, 80 Plus Gold, Semi Modular, 6+2-pin PCIe

Nvidia control panel - Try turning off image sharpening and/or shaders in 3d settings. Basically reduce the load on the gpu, it may solve your issue.

Maybe try another driver?

I still have a hard time to believe that it can be a software issue since i formatted my C: drive and re-installed Windows. I've also formatted my other 2 partitions as well. How can i still struggle with the same problem?

Since the tech-guys at the place where i bought my computer went trough my hardware and didn't find any problem and runned BurnInTest to stress test all the major sub-systems of a computer for Endurance, Reliability and Stability without any problems.
Running a game in steam like Pubg or Banner Lord, games crasch.

BUT! IF i run Battlefield 1 through Origin i can play without game crasching to desktop.

WTF can be the problem!?
So sick and tired of this problem that i've had for 2 month at least.

The error message means the game has a problem with your GPU. There can be two reasons for this - either your card is "overclocked", or it just can't quite handle Bannerlord. In the former case, you just need to reset the device to its default parameters. In the second case you can try to limit the number of frames per second in the title to reduce the GPU load.

How do you do that? For Nvidia graphics cards, open the Control Panel first. Then go to 3D settings management, click on the Program Settings tab and select Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Now, in the Settings field for this program, find Max Frame Rate and set 30 FPS. Save your changes and check if the game will work perfectly.
Yea hes got a OC going on somewhere

Thanks once again for your input here guys.

So is it possible that after 200+ hours of playing bannerlord , my card suddenly can't handle the game?
I have never overclocked anything, ever. Never had a reason for that. And as far as i know, the card was not OC from Factory either.

Something that i've been thinking of a day or so. Clean drives and reinstalled windows + games, it still crashes. Coul'd a corrupt file exist in the cloud some how?

I will try limiting the frames for Bannerlord. I did such a thing ingame earlier.

I'd say not. That duration 'could' just be the ambient transition from winter to summer (depending on your hemisphere obviously).

As the game is EA, a quick scroll through the patch notes I see things like battle terrain & meshes. If they have deformable ground, or are incrementally turning on/up certain features, that's more likely to be the cause. If so you'll just have to make adjustments as you go.

If it's Unity 5 that's also a recent step-up for certain systems that might see a couple fall by the wayside.

The games crasching for me isn't EA, Pubg and Mount & Blade are the problem here.

Just installed another steam game that i havent played for av while, Ring of Elisyum. Will try if that game works.

Not sure what you mean with Ambient transition?

Well, about that.

Downloaded and installed the repack. Started banner Lords and first time I got into the game. Earlier the computer crashed in the game menus. So I played for like 5-6 min. Shut down the game and started pubg.
Just when the countdown is done game crashed, as usual. This time the computer once again rebooted. But, this time the CPUfan got crazy and just went full on power, black screens and then I noticed the burnt scent .
Turned it off and unplugged all cables.

Last day on my guarantee, so I'll have to send in my computer again.

Thanks for all your input, really appreciate it.
