Best Android keyboard app?
Gboard has awful swipe intuition
Swiftkey keeps inuiting mutant websites, swping "the" comes out as "thoutube.com"

Is there a keyboard that isn't total garbage?

An actual physical keyboard.

the hacker keyboard is nice if you dont want the stickers/emojis/gif/cam and other junk
also has easy access to extended char sets and select/copy/paste and cursor move features in the keyboard
and the standard symbol layout like a full sized keyboar is also a huge welcome
1!, 2@ - 0), -_, =+ etc..

Not that it's super helpful, but BlackBerry. I had a DTEK 50 and it's default keyboard is probably the least blood pressure raising I've used.

Kinda SOL of you don't have a BlackBerry though (at least if you don't want ads).

I miss my slide phone with the keyboard.

Best keyboard option really is by just using a physical BT Keyboard to by honest.

Be careful with 3rd party Keyboard apps in Android, as many of those are key-loggers

^ this

if using 3rd party keyboard apps check its permissions on android
disable everything, camera, mic, phone, contacts, storage, sms, background data etc...

One of the best ways to avoid a dodgy key-logger or malware type of 3rd party keyboard osd for android is to look up what are some of the better ones for iOS. Since Apple is much more strict on what it allows on its app store and many of those makers offer an Android version.
