I want to turn enhanced pointer precision (mouse acceleration) on/off easily
I am accustomed to having enhanced pointer precision being on when I'm navigating my desktop. But I prefer mouse acceleration off in first-person games. But there are a handful of older programs where mouse acceleration is present unless I turn enhanced pointer precision off in the mouse settings.

That means I have to enter mouse settings, then additional mouse options, then pointer options, and switch off before starting some older programs. I want to switch it on and off with as few keystrokes as possible. If there is a 3rd-party program or macro to do that, that would be great.

make a shortcut for mouse pointer options tab

rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL main.cpl,,2

or check if those games have an option for raw input or disabled accelration

I turned it off, set the mouse to high DPI and forced myself to use it for a week. Now, having it on feels weird on the desktop. That might be the easier solution. It's not that hard to change what you're accustomed to.

Here is a thread that talks about it. https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/43700-mouse-acceleration-onoff/

I don't know how you would cope switching back and forth, to be honest. I have my work PC with all settings locked, which acceleration (and a high sensitivity) are on, so I cannot change them. It is a pain to even go from home to work or vice versa and not feel weird for awhile.
