MSI afterburner incorrect temp readings
I was playing No mans sky and I had afterburner running and noticed it said my GPU was at 90*C and was baffled because my fans werent loud at all, they were rather quiet actually. My gpu has never been above like low 70's and in this game it is usually low 60's so I didnt think it was right, and I checked my GPU and case fans and they were all running fine so is it just a misreading by afterburner or should i actually be concerned?

i haven't noticed a problem with afterburner.

you can bring up radeon metrics by pressing ctrl shift O. does it show the same temperature reading as afterburner?

i would go into radeon settings and check the fan profile. if you're undervolting, make sure that is correctly applied also.

alt + tab takes long enough for temps to drop 20+c

If you dont have Vsync enabled, enable it and you should notice a temp drop.

RX580's tend to run hot though so its not impossible for the reading to be correct.
With that said, ive never known Afterburner to not be accurate.

You can test this by running HWMonitor in the background while you game so it can record the Min/Max temps.
