Prime95 > small ffts loop test for cpu
Furmark for gpu
And Cpuid HWMonitor for temp *C monitoring
Toss it. Those are junk and shouldn't be trusted. Any modern pc for over the laaast decade should be using a psu with active pfc auto switching.
Thanks for the advice guys, I really appreciate it.
I'll post up my finished build on PC part picker when I get to that stage. Thanks again guys.

Anything from Tier B and up.
they are not worth the risk ..got a pile of 3 of em here .. i use em for scrap wire only .
got em from customers failed power supplies ..and one 550 watt one i bought .. it lasted 12 months ..then failed to run even a GTX 960 card properly .
buy a quality seasonic PSU ..and yes they do make decent affordable ones
now if you had some thing like a old ANTEC PSU .. they do hold up .. still have the original one i bought back in 2000 in my 3fx voodoo 5 system with a P3 933 and old Abit motherboard
but heck that PSU is so old it does not even have all the connectors you need for a modern system . and i would never try to use it in another system .
Some head scratchers on that list.
Tier D+ - Potentially dangerous, but only in rather unrealistic situations
Evga G3
Seasonic Focus Plus Gold
I've owned both of these for years and still recommend them. At one point I had a rig with 6 gpus running off the G3. I don't know how much more unrealistic you'd get than that.
I also own a G2 which is rated A tier. I see no appreciable drop in quality between the power supplies.
