What header??
I got a single fan connected to a sys fan header with the radiator sat at the front pulling in cool air and another fan behind it in the pulling catigory with my 2 other front fans, my current AIO is connected too the cpu fan header for different speeds automatically however as it’s a pump I’m not sure if I should keep it where it is or if I should put it on the pump fan header instead so it runs 100% all the time need help with this asap

i dont know what else to change as stated above its in PWM mode now smart fan disabled but its in the PUMP_FAN and the lights on the pump seem brighter so i think its working at full all the time now should i leave it like that?
Yes if a header has light control, if it's on some sort of variable speed option this can affect the led brightness based on rpms, due to power changes to control those rpms.

as far as i can see the speeds even on PWM mode are a constant 2220rpm so i guess there is no need to go to DC mode?
Yes then you're fine.
3pin pumps or fans can only do DC mode. They can be manually speed controlled but not in a fashion like pwm which allows auto rpm changes based on cpu loads, not just temps and such.
correct

dc is for voltage control, mobo will output 0-12v to the header to control the fans speed

pwm uses constant 12v and the 4th pin to control a fans speed
a 3pin fan on a 4pin header set to pwm will always be at 12v 100%

pin1 = gnd
pin2 = volt (0-12v if on dc, or 12v on pwm)
pin3 = rpm/sense
pin4 = pwm control
