Are apevia power supplies good or bad!

They seem to be a good psu, tech reviews recommend them as a good choice for a budget build. I guess that puts them in the average bracket in terms of quality, if you run the machine at stock within its 600w limits it would probably be an ok choice. IMO.
I needed that thanks!
I've definitely heard a few bad things, but my HTPC has been running fine with an Apevia power supply for about 9 years, so it's at least possible for them to make a power supply that doesn't immediately explode. To give an idea of how stressed it is, I think it's advertised as 500W and is running a 100W-rated APU, mechanical HDD, and DVD drive. It's possible that I got lucky but I imagine it's just doing well because there's plenty of margin between the advertised power and actual load.
Since these are still around and I have some experience I will perform some thread necromancy and chip in. Apevia has been around for quite some time, they made some rather good cube microatx cases back in the day that did come with a PSU. I had one of these and the PSU lasted 2-3 years--not great, but when it died it didn't take anything else out with it.
2-3 years before dying is not exactly great.
