New acer gaming pc fans possibly effed up?

I got a new Acer gaming pc (Acer Predator Orion 5000) and from the beginning the fans have been really weird and uneven, and revving up when doing really light tasks. The only way to keep it quiet is to force a flat cpu fan curve on the computer. Otherwise the fans are all over the place. Is this normal for a new, powerful pc or am I screwed big time? I normally use the standard cpu fan setting in the bios but that setting makes the fans really uneven and sometimes way too loud. The silent setting is better, you can still hear the fans rev up a bit but it's not nearly as bad as the standard setting. But the problem with silent setting is that it might make the cpu too hot in the long run when gaming. Also, mu cpu temps when idling are in the 50 celsius range, that sounds a little bit too high...Any ideas what could be going on here?

Everytime you start a new task the CPU will ramp up clocks to do it fast then lower to maintain it. When that happens they get a spike in voltage. Quite common. Try changing you fan curve.

Make it faster while at the lower speeds so its less likely spike as high and cause fans to run faster. Could try lowering the fan speeds when it spikes to the temps so it's not as aggressive. That will cause higher temps.

EDIT: another option, if available, would be to try undervolting the CPU. Motherboard have voltage set to run even the worst CPU in regards to silicon lottery. For me right now using stock speeds including turbo boost I can undervolt by 0.115 and that keeps temps lower. Some are better and some are worse.

Well for some reason my fans get insanely loud even when having something like 50% setting. I have my cpu fan at flat 24% speed right now and it is about right noise wise. For some reason adding even 1 percent to the speed raises the fan RPM quite a bit. I never had this kind of fan revving on my older pc, granted I built it instead of buying it pre built.

The fans revving up and down is normal. Basically all PC has been this way since they've gone and installed PWM fans in Desktops. Even Laptops do this as well.

The noise level could just be based around them using cheap quality fans in general.

It's the curve they'll only hit 100% when it gets to 90 degrees. Really should be getting that high unless you're overclocking.

Setting it to 100% will mean it'll be a gradual increase as the temp increases. _!_ did say that.

If it's too noisy it's change the fan curves, lower voltage, is the only not cost methods. Other options include more fans to the case, change case fans for better fans or get a better CPU cooler but they'll cost you money

Yeah, I'll have to see what I'm going to do with this fan situation. They are helluva loud when tthey're at 100 %, might have to contact Acer about this...

You say "fans". Are you sure which fan(s) are actually getting loud? might it be only your CPU cooler? or are you sure your cpu cooler is quiet and the other ones are getting loud?

Just replace them with better fans. Such as Noctua or BeQuiet.

But for now mod the fan curve so they never go above 75-80%

Keep an eye on cpu and gpu temps easily with MSI Afterburner + RivaTuner

I put my cpu fan at 50 % and it's pretty darn loud...tried 50 % with others, really gentle and quiet, so the culprit is definitely my cpu fan. I put my cpu fan at 24 % and it's pretty much the same noise wise as the others at 50 % speed.
