more likely drivers
get the correct mobo/chipset drivers so it knows how to handle when the cpu goes between full and idle states
and use ddu in safe mode to wipe drivers then reinstall them again
Ive said several times its not the drivers everything is fully up to date. and i already did a DDU clean and installed latest NVIDIA Driver. I dont believe drivers are anything to do with my problem.
try resetting bios to defaults
nothings overclocked
Shouldnt be causing the NVIDIA Driver to Crash though just quickly Alt-Tabbing to look at a Youtube Video
Sometimes when I alt+enter to bring a game to window it freezea but signing out and signing back into my account fixes it, until i do it again.
thats not a solution. its hardware releated. I think its the Corsair PSU Units being bad personally. Im trying out a 1000w Seasonic GX PSU i can guarantee 850w isnt enough due to Power Spikes
post a cpuz validation link
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
cpuz -> validate button -> submit button
it will open a browser, copy the url (address) and paste it here
if the fsb/bclk goes over 100 on intel cpus it can cause instability
or if using 4 dimms, its more stress on the imc and may not be able to hold the higher speeds and run xmp profile without a small voltage bump
Very often the new drivers have problems that need a while to be fixed and updated.
If you have done a stress test, that can help rule out hardware.. if it doesn't happen during a stress test it's unlikely to happen just from alt+tabbing. Do a stress test that alternates between high and low usage.
I'd be interested to know,
If you didn't install them, then you need to assume they are all wrong. Especially if Windows OS auto-loads them in or grabs them from Windows Updates Services.
Do this before you launch any games.
> Load up web browser of choice (go into its settings and disable hardware acceleration)
> Load up Task Manager
> Minimize both and then load up Game Client + Game
> Set games to run in Borderless Mode
Now see if your issue still exists.
Also, stop using GFE or the very latest NVIDIA Driver.
Always stay a few drivers behind based on which one(s) are deemed more stable.
That will rule out any 3rd party software and settings.
If then you can run a cpu and GPU burnin program like Furmark youll know its not hardware.
I have a weird feeling its an overheating issue on my 3080 it gets 77c on WItcher 3 at 4K Max Settings. I Ran GPUZ and looked at my sensors and the Memory Temp and Hot Spot Temp are literally 88 to 90c
