True. But as it stays for stable loads for hours, i think it is better than gaming. Games can vary load and temp can increase and decrease.
Back to topic. As i asked, does it reduce lifespan significantly than using stock settings.
Also monitor your hash rate to see how effective various changes are to power consumption and hash rate.
What MH and power are you getting / using?
Boosting your memory clock is fine but as the modules sit under the backplate of the card, it can be more difficult to cool. Unfortunately, most (perhaps all) 3070s do not have a way to measure memory temperature as there are no sensors there.
My suggestion would be to buy some thermal tape and some heat sinks, and attach the heatsinks to the backplate using the thermal tape. This will help with those temperatures, especially when clocking the memory that high. Even better if you can get a small fan to help blow fresh air over the heatsinks
61.7MH. 150Watts
Thanks for the advice. What if room is Air conditioned?
2. The settings are probably safe, but it's still mining, and it's still going to wear down the card over time.
Your running the card in a sensible way so there's no real increased risk to it when it's done properly.
Ltt did a vid not long ago testing new vs mined cards, zero difference, if you run the cards too hot pumping extra power into it, it's worse for the card than a long sustained load which the chips are designed to be able to do.
nothing else
the gpu will throttle when its hot protecting itself
Card temperature remains below 60.
