Windows 10 disk partitions
I have 2 hard disks installed on my PC , one with the Windows OS installed on it and the other doesn't have any OSs
The disk without the OS installed consists of 2 partitions , One of them is completely empty and the other has some stuff and i want to merge the two partitions together for more tidiness , So i deleted the empty partition and clicked extend on the non empty one but when i click it iam presented with a warning with the following :-
"The operation you selected will convert the selected basic disk(s) to dynamic disk(s). If you convert the disk(s) to dynamic, you will not be able to start installed operation systems from any volume on the disk(s) (except the current boot volume). Are you sure you want to continue?"
So is it safe to just click continue and merge the two partitions of the non-OS disk or will my windows and boot on the other hard disk get destroyed somehow ?

I have already deleted the empty partition and now it's unallocated volume
I just want to know if it's safe to click continue and won't affect my windows in anyway or not

Yeah the OS is on a completely different HDD
The HDD with the two partitions i want to merge don't have any OS on them

unallocated space must be converted to a real partition and formatted in order to be merged , that s my thought

You re right . With Windows 10 default app , after deleting a partition , extend function must be used
Warning, this will destroy all data on the selected drive. So backup is needed for things you wish to keep:
Open disk management> right-click the drive you wish> convert to gpt partition.
i ve done such things many times and never lost anything . But yes , as a precaution , do back up

Sure ?
I have already deleted a partition and turned it into unallocated volume , will my other partition with data be destroyed when i extend it's volume with the unallocated space ? It didn't give any warning of that

as far as i remember, when using the MS tool , i didnt lose anything by extending

I got a warning so maybe you're good. Probably because my partition scheme was different than the conversion.
Here's an alternative but it's somewhat less convenient. Move all the data in that partition to your Windows drive if possible via drag and drop or highlight/send to... Then right-click on the STORAGE drive and select "Format." Select NTFS file type if prompted. This will wipe the storage HDD completely. It will be one big space.

Then move your stuff from C:\ back to your storage--you can drag and drop or highlight/send to..... This is provided there isn't way too much data to move and your Windows HDD has enough space to accommodate temporarily.
