Asuscom service ( asus prob sense potential ) fix ?
Hello,

After years of fighting with (asio ) ans asus ascomsvc asuscom service
( AMDA00 insidez device manager)

I found a way to force AMDA00 to act as a motherboard ressources by:

Just installing a new driver as other / System device / Motherboard ressources.

This way no driver is required.
Asuscomsvc won't time out

And in windows 10, automatic device driver installation, will still show you Asustek driver, but won't install it.

If i knew this before, I would have done it to any devices showing a yellow mark and that can't be
Repaired ( hardware defect)

As it's just loading as a dummy device.

Asus Probe / sense, on older motherboards ( z87) fail to work, and you have lot of messages about service timeout 45000ms as an exemple.

As i don't need AMDA00 from Asus, and it can't be disabled in Bios,
I think it's the best thing to do.

I found this solution by looking at motherboard ressources in device manager, and looking if there was a driver just by interest.

As it was shown as none, i had the idea, it oculd be used as a dummy device, without entering in conflict with any other hardwzare, as no driver would be loaded :)

I tryed also to force the device class to not load a driver, if windows update forced the installation but

In system log file, i see every boot, an automatic util is trying to find, a driver for this unknown device.

Why do ever need ASUS Probe?

But yes one major issue is that Asus Probe for Motehrhoards that old do not support modern WinOS such as 8.1, 10, 11

There are plenty of well known, working utilities that do the same things as Probe.

Hey, Bad Motha it's true you don't need Asus probe for the motherboard to work :)

It's the first time i see a thing like this, i had msi motherboards, gygabite and aother one, i think it's a flaw from asus to not have AMDA00 been not selectable in bios

The thing is even if you don't install any driver by yourself for AMDA00

As it's not seen as a normal device that can be disabled in device manager, but a system device.

Windows update would force install of AMDA00.

AMDA00 is an interface to communicate with the motherboard i guess ?

In bios you can't disable it.

It's true, Asus probe is not needed for a computer to work.

This is why i was pretty happy i could set it AMDA00 as a mtherboard ressources, so no drivers are installed, still win update as additional driver package, still purpose me to download asus driver.

But no more service error, driver not loading, or anythings related :)
