Well, is there any sort of stand-alone Driver you can download for this controller, if so that might be required when using it via USB Cable. Also the cable needs to be a DATA SYNC USB type of cable and not CHARGE ONLY.

If the device doesn't popup as connected / installing, or showing as a any sort of device within Device Manager, then it's most likely a Charge Only cable; which only transfers power for charging purposes and doesn't contain the data wires needed; thus won't show up as a device in any way.

Consoles this is different because when you connect the controller, it charges while remaining connected as a device via its wireless connection between the controller and console; i.e. a charge-only cable. Not all console makers do this, but yea I'd have to suggest that is the issue here. If you have another USB cable with the correct ends, like from a phone or tablet, try that cable.

Try plugging the controller into a rear port on the Motherboard and see.
Does the controller light up at all when plugged in?

If it's still not working, reset the controller or at the least disable BT or manually unpair the device from the PC's BT first.

I have tried the Switch Pro controller on my PC when my XBox One controller died. Worked out of the box. No issues at all.
Used a bog standard USB A -> USB C cable.

Have you tried different USB ports on your PC?

Ever used something like an XBox controller "emulator" to use non 360 controllers and have your games see it as one? Could be they left traces that now cause the problem.

Then better remove XJoy if it is still installed and check all traces of it are completely gone.
How the controller is connected is irrelevant.

Searched the Drives? No just go to Control Panel > Programs and Features and look within there. Remove any emulator apps for any Controllers, reboot the system and then plug in your controller.
