Personally I'd prefer the higher res.

Going from 60hz to 144hz was great but I haven't noticed a difference 144hz+ Though only seen a 165hz to compare. Maybe I'd notice a difference at 240hz. I'd still rather a higher resolution with 144hz over a lower res with even higher refresh.
I'd say a higher resolution would benefit you more than a higher screen refresh rate and I'd choose 1440p @ 144Hz over 1080p @ 240Hz any day.
I'm torn between LG 27GL83A-B and LG 27GL850-B and ASUS VG27A1 TUF GAMING
The difference between two LG is that 850 has USB ports and wide color gamut but 83A has normal sRGB color coverage.
I've read a review about ASUS and one said it is worse than other two.
What should i buy? i don't have much money though.
Higher rez
1440p at 144hz or higher would be way better then any 1080p Display, hands down.

But what's your full PC specs? As you'll want a certain minimum spec to run 1440p vs 1080p, mot to mention the high refresh rates.
RN i possess 4 k samung but with 64 hz. i7 6700 CPU and gtx 1060 6 gb.

do you have a graphic card support 240 hertz?

RTX 2060 Super. Best for 240Hz displays. The RTX 2060 and 2070 Super are among our favorite cards for competitive gaming as they offer great value for money whilst still delivering plenty of power. ...
RTX 2060. Best budget 240Hz card. ...
GTX 1650 Super. Best for 144Hz setups. ...
RTX 2080 Ti. The pro choice

LG 27GL850-B is better because nano IPS, I would get that one.

Nonsense copied from a site's page that refers to a specific game (other than Dota2), "competitive" playing and doubles as nVidia advertising.
Great advice...

one says that better off buying 83A than 850 because wide gamut monitor makes everythink look oversaturated without calibration or using sRGB. I have no idea how to calibrate its settings.

you cannot add cpu core ghz
each process thread is limited to one cpu core/thread
dota is not a high core usage game (gpu driver can use a few threads)

if its a 64core 1ghz, you will get much less performance out of it vs a 1 core 64ghz cpu
game main thread is limited to the core speed

monitor refresh rates are in hz not mhz(1,000,000hz) or ghz(1,000,000,000hz)
eyes are analog and do not see in pixels or hz, they only perceive motion or changes
higher refresh and fps will make motion look much smoother

if the cpu and gpu can keep up with 200+fps, get the 240hz if it has gsync or vsync so it can lower the refresh rate to the displays output
else a 144hz with gsync or vsync 1440p or 1080p will be good for gaming
Yea a game like Dota2 runs fine at basically any res on an old FX6300 with 8gb ram and gtx 950
