TX650M PSU enough for latest GPUs?
Im looking at the new AMD/Nvidia cards and was wondering if a 650w is enough?
I dont have anything overclocked and im not going to.
I play in 1920x1080, im not going to upgrade now but was just curious.

Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 C16 BK DC - 16GB
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Wraith Prism CPU
MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX
A-Data XPG SX8200 Pro M.2 SSD - 512GB
Kingston SATA SSD 250GB
Seagate HDD 2TB
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5700 XT GAMING OC - 8
Corsair TX650M

no the nvida 3xxx can be over 300w

but it will be ok with that build

It will work up to the RTX 3070. The 3080 and 3090 are a no go. Since the pull over 300 watt.

I just upgraded my 650 to a 750w for this very reason. Seems the newest GPU’s require 750w.

That PSU is plenty for up to NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti or 3080, just not a 3090.
As your CPU is fairly low TDP, so this helps.

Radeon RX 6800 on your average system I would recommend a 600 Watt power supply unit. Radeon RX 6800 XT on your average system we recommend a 650 Watt power supply unit.

For both I overall recommend then to have at least a 750 Watt to be safe. I usually don't stoop any lower than a 750 Watt power supply for gaming rigs.

If you have the money, then yes, basically:))) I learned that the psu and motherboards are not components you cheap out on.

On the other hand, I will be keeping my Corsair VS650 80+ gold PSU. I have an rx 6800 coming tomorrow. I will let you know what happens:)

Quick tip: sell the 5700xt on ebay right now. I just did the same, got 75 dollars more than I paid for it brand new in march. Apparently, it's very good for etherium mining. Overprice the ♥♥♥♥ out of miners

I really wouldn't waste $ on any GPU above a 3060 Ti if you are planning to stick to 1920x1080

why not? it will last longer than for example a 5700xt on 1920x1080.
