Wired and Wireless Connection using Cisco Valet Plus M20
Hey hopefully someone will know the answer to this, my IP provides me a modem which I connect in to my Cisco M20 router. If I plug the modem in to the "Internet" connection my speeds get capped at 100mbps, but if I plug it in to one of the 4 ports I can full 300mbps speed, but then my wireless connection stops working.

Current connections:
Cable from modem to router, then router port 1 to PC

Obviously the "Internet" port is not GB, but using any of the ports 1-4 causes the wireless connection to fail , anyone know how I can hook this up or do I just need a new router to get full speeds? Thanks

Wow, that thing is ancient.
It's a decade old technology and has been discontinued for years already. You should seriously replace it for something that is not as old or riddled with security issues that are not going to be patched, ever.
So, no Cisco.

get a better router, or contact the isp for better hardware
Get a new router. That one is very old.

Replace ISP Modem and your Router every 3-5 years so as not to get too outdated with Security Protocols as well as available options for the WiFi, etc. Not to mention most hardware that old most likely would not have 1Gbit Wired Ports and this is very important. Older hardware of the sort you have will make newer PCs and Phones seem very slow when it's your Networking Hardware that is the real problem. Newer gen Modems and Routers do have 1Gbit ports even for the Internet port, as that kind of a wired port is required to make use of ISP speeds above 100mbps
