Thoughts on the Samsung Oddysee G7

What Ya'al thinking ? looks like the monitor i have been waiting for, great colours because of the Va panel yet decent response time, nice curve to it, 1440p 27'', only thing is its only G-sync compatible, not full G-sync, am i missing something here or is this the best 1440p monitor out there right now ?

Why not just get a full IPS Display from ACER, ASUS, LG, MSI... that has FreeSync (GSync compatible) and is offered in 1440p @ at least 144+ Hz and uses DisplayPort.

Because i have tried these monitors in the past and was not impressed, and also the LG Ultragear, i dont seem to have any luck regarding backlight bleed and ips glow, they always look horid to me,i currently have a Acer predator TN 1080p 240hz G-sync, and have been very happy with it, but now i want a nice 1440p monitor to go with my 3080 Strix Oc 5900x system, and i dont really want to go back to buying multiple monitors and sending them back, i was hoping this Oddyee G7 would be the answer to the monitor problem i have had for so long.

It looks like a superb monitor that has it all, deep blacks, decent hdr experience and those response times with no overshoot for a va panel, holy $hit. I would buy it right away if i had money..but i'm already using a 1440/165hz decent ips monitor, i'm gonna keep it for at least 3-4 more years.

Thats what i thought, i was just looking for the catch but cant seem to find one.

From my experiences, there is no good Gaming Monitor from Samsung, period.

ASUS ROG Swift and ACER Predator are still among some of the very best.

Why? You're doubtful to ever get 300+ FPS in anything these days.
Plus you generally will not notice a real world difference with your eyes by moving from 240Hz to 360Hz
