All B and X series motherboards with the AM4 socket. (B350/450/550, X370/470/570)

what is the difference between the 2 is it just one is a better quality then the other?
B is mainstream, X is for enthusiasts.
to filter out most junk, make sure the board has 4x dimm slots and 5 or more sata+m.2 slots

the bottom end amd and intel chipsets only suport 2 dimms or 4 drives
x570 will serve well, but OC on ryzen doesn't do much anyway
B550 or X570, but i'd take a good B550 with good VRM, X570 chipsets has PCH fan which can be annoying depends on the mobo..especially on Asus boards, the placement of the fan is so stupid that once you plug in a GPU, the fan is completely blocked and so it runs at 3000-4000rpm 75-80c, such a stupid fan kills my otherwise very silent build.

No point in OC'ing Ryzen, it does that dynamically all on its own based on thermals.
Go look at a brand you like, like say ASUS, MSI, or Gigabyte. Then compare a few B550 vs X570 boards and look at the general features, how everything is physically situated on the board, etc. and then make up your mind. VRM Phases will be important also if you plan to use any Ryzen 7 or 9 series CPU. Also ditch the AMD stock cooler and buy your own, such as Hyper212 EVO Black Edition, or something better from Noctua or BeQuiet.
Do we call cpu's now chipset? Are you a troll?(people would call me one if I posted this)
Or do you want to OC(increase the voltage) the SoC for higher ram speeds?

As Cathulhu said, B series chipsets are the "mainstream" level while X series is the "enthusiast" level that has additional or higher quality features and is rarely ever necessary. Most users will be very happy with a B550 for example. A series (A320/520) is the entry-level chipset that doesn't allow overclocking and are just a bad value for the price because they're often dirt cheap in quality but aren't much cheaper than B series. The worst part is the lack of memory overclocking, which is important for Ryzen because of the Infinity Fabric that ties everything together and is affected by RAM.

ryzen boost is also limited by the mobos power delivery to the cpu
weak vrm config will throttle sooner and lower than good/overkill ones

a good board along with vrm cooling helps, and a good cpu cooler is all that is needed to let ryzen boost to the best it can do
Go for B550 for budget reason. Own the MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi and running great so far.

im actually new to the amd systems the vrm u r talking about is it the one on the mobo that gives voltage to the gpu and cpu? how can u tell if its a good board i dont really wanna spend mobos that cost like 500$. i found some mobos that have a fan in it/actually plan to get a AIO corsair H or the thermaltake ones
MSI, Gigabyte and Asus are good brands.
