PC having weird boot problems.

FIXED: Ok so the problem magically fixed itself so I am guessing this was a microsoft BUG because when I downloaded the new patch it fixed itself. I really hate windows 10.


So recently, Out of knowhere my PC has suddenly started acting strange. Whenever I turn on my PC it will do its thing. So I open steam like I usually do and play a game to suddenly find steam not responding and the app crashing. So I shut down the PC and Turn it back on again (I dont use Restart). And steam launches as normally and all that stuff. Its very strange. So I call up my local computer clinic and call tech support (I actually know the guy who runs it well). He says that this is an issue happening to loads of people and that I should update my PC. So I do that and the problem still persists. He tells me that Microsoft hasnt patched it yet and that I should keep updating my PC. In the meanwhile try keeping on my PC (through sleep mode) or trying the shut down turn on. I did ask him if Disabling Fast Startup would do anything but he says it doesnt. Is this true that this is a windows glitch? Has anyone had my same problem and who knows how to fix it?

Specs:

64GB RAM

Intel Xeon E5 2609 0 x2

RX 570 4GB

2TB HDD

500GB HDD

Help would be much appreciated.

psu brand/model/age?

if windows does not show any shutdown/reboot log before improper shutdown its most likely the psu

When you do a reboot unplug the machine from power for 15 seconds or so, windows 10 does not shut down it hibernates to allow a fast start on next boot. To actually shut down you need to disconnect power.

if the issue only affects steam you could try reinstalling steam or validating game that crashes.

My doubts are extremely high that its the PSU. Why would games not boot properly becuase of a PSU. Id have to pry open my PC to find out my PSU which I forget what it is. The Tech Support guy says its a microsoft problem and I should wait for microsoft to fix it and that it differs for from person to person. Some are fine and others are majorly effected.

Its a possibility, games demand more from the gpu in terms of power, its one reason why they get hot. A weak psu may not be able to meet demand.

This is a recent problem and ive had my PC over a year so I really dont htink thats the reason. Steam also can sometimes crash. Ive had this problem for the last 2 days.

Turn off fast start up and turn off windows 10 game mode. Then restart your pc (don't shut down).
